Through a pulley system echoing the visual effects of early stagecraft, a dozen colorful shapes—suspended as though sprouting from the greenery—spring magically to life. With each gesture of the passerby they intertwine or overlap, the walker becoming the puppeteer of fleeting scenes revealed to all onlookers.
Commissioned by the the Château de Fontainebleau for the exhibition Grandeur Nature II (05/2025 > 09/2025), Panneau Panache playfully recalls the first fireworks ever seen in France, held in the gardens of the Château de Fontainebleau in 1606.
